Myke
Loomis/ Director of Tennis
Myke has been with Hidden Dunes
since the resort opened in 1985. She is a former number one junior
player from Little Rock, Arkansas, and a graduate from the University
of Arkansas in Fayetteville. The major portion of her collegiate tennis
was played in Tuscaloosa at the University of Alabama where she set
school records for most consecutive and seasonal wins. Myke was named
to the All-Southeastern Conference team twice and to the AIAW team
as a member of the Crimson Tide tennis program. Her longevity as Director
of Tennis and enthusiasm for tennis have made Hidden Dunes a haven
for avid tennis players. Myke, along with her partner Renee
Broxson, now the Head Professional of Hidden Dunes, won the 2003 40's
National Clay Court Doubles Championships. In February 2004, Myke was
inducted into the Arkansas Tennis Hall of Fame.
Myke is the USTA 2006 Clay Court 45's Singles
Champion and the 2006 Florida State Closed 45's Singles Champion.
She was recently named by the USTA/Florida Tennis Association, the
2006 Female Player of the Year.
